Computer Assisted Crop Management Tools

Now you can download many of the computer programs developed to assist with crop management. These programs can be downloaded free of charge directly from the internet. 

  • Cotton DD60 Accumulation Data and Information Program - For University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service cotton specialists, producers and consultants who need to know up-to-date temperature information and DD60 accumulations for the current year, the previous year, and for the 30-year norm
     
  • Farm Management System Computer Program - The Farm Management Recordkeeping System is designed to store laboratory test results for soil tests, water tests, manure tests, and forage/plant tests on one or more fields in one or more farms for a particular producer. It also keeps records about the usage of those materials on fields, crops, and livestock, along with fertilizer and restricted use pesticide applications, soil amendments, and resulting crop yields. The producer can then use this historical information to determine the best amendments for subsequent crop plantings, as well as to meet certain governmental reporting requirements. **Revised February 2003**
     
  • Irrigation Scheduling - a program works on four different crops and four different irrigation methods for scheduling your irrigation.
     
  • DD50 Program - assists Arkansas rice producers and consultants in managing their crop by providing decision management aids based on the emergence date, the variety planted, and current temperature information.   **2005 Program Released April 28, 2005**
     
  • RICESEED 2002 - RICESEED is a computer program which calculates the recommended seeding rates for rice under varying conditions. The RICESEED program generates the recommended seeding rate for rice varieties based on research conducted on the effects of various factors, including soil texture, seeding date, seeding method, and seedbed condition.

  • SOYVA 2005 - Soybean Variety Selection Program (SOYVA) is a computerized soybean variety selection program. **Date of Release February 18, 2005**
     
  • Trap and Survey Summary System - The Pest Management Trap and Survey Summary System was designed to help cooperators enter trap data and compare against other areas of the state.
     
  • WheatSel is a computerized wheat variety selection program. (This program will not be updated for 2002)
